Project Hope

The men from Project Hope in Russellville, Arkansas, are our guests today. Project Hope is a ministry designed to help men find freedom from addiction through Christ. Today, these men will share testimonies about what God is doing to bring freedom into their lives.

Part 21: Answering to a Higher Authority (John 5:19-47)

Jesus proclaims his deity by declaring that He has abilities and prerogatives that only belong to God. Then He offers some witnesses to corroborate His claims.

Step Up or Shrink Back

Whenever we face suffering or hardship as a Christian, we have two choices. We can either step up or we can shrink back. However, as the writer of Hebrews said, "We are not of those who shrink back."

Part 20: Lord Over Sickness and Sabbath (John 5:1-18)

In healing a man that had been lame for 38 years on the Sabbath, Jesus made a powerful statement to the religious leaders of Israel about His authority over disease, but also about His authority over the Sabbath. This was the beginning of the plot to get rid of this "dangerous" teacher.

Our Firm Foundation

The foundation of a building is the most important part of the building. If the foundation is strong, the building will endure, but if the foundation is weak, the building will not stand. The same is true for us. If the foundation of our faith is strong, we will stand in times of storm. What is the foundation of your faith?

Part 19: Faith Without Sight (John 4:43-54)

A desperate nobleman came to Jesus and begged Jesus to go home with him because his son was on death's door. Jesus healed the boy, but He didn't do it the way the nobleman expected Him to do it. The man had to exercise faith without sight.

Attitudes that Lead to Defeat

The Israelites lost a certain battle to the Philistines not because God wasn't powerful enough to deliver them, but because they harbored attitudes that led to defeat. (Recorded at RLC's Friends & Family Day at the park.)

Part 18: The Harvest is Ripe (John 4:27-42)

After experiencing a divine encounter with Jesus, the woman at the well went into her town and told everyone about the man who knew everything about her. The result of her testimony was a city-wide revival.

"Now" Faith

Hebrews 11:1 gives us a powerful definition of faith, but what does it mean to have faith in the desperate, painful, lonely moments in life?

Part 17: Are You Thirsty? (John 4:1-26)

Every man and woman is thirsty for something that will satisfy their soul. The Samaritan woman at the well learned that Jesus is the only thing that can.
